Day 5 – Northeast 2015 – Morro do Pai Inácio
We were fortunate enough to visit the beautiful Chapada Diamantina, words cannot begin to describe it’s beauty! Brazil is one perfect country and we are lucky enough to be living here. We had a marvelous day, starting with a very tiring walk up the steep hill called Morro do Pai Inacio, but it was worth it because upon our arrival at the top, we got the view of a lifetime . We had a photo shoot with flags from different countries from a place that felt like the top of the world.
Through this we established a special connection as exchange students, as even though we have only known each other for six days, it felt like we have been together for a lifetime. We got to become one with nature as we were far from civilization and the man made world planning. It was only our heart felt connections with mother nature.
Unfortunately we could not go to the natural water slide because of the rain but however being the optimistic people we are, we made the best of the situation and bounded in a local bank where we had taken shelter.
We ended our day by embracing the Brazilian culture through the Capoeira show with some of the exchange students learning a couple of the dance techniques, for after all there is no better teacher than experience.

Dia 5 – Nordeste 2015 – Morro do Pai Inácio
Conhecemos lugares lindos, mas a chapada Diamantina é ainda melhor, não tenho palavras! Brasil é um país perfeito, e nós temos a sorte de morar aqui, hoje foi um dia maravilhoso, que começou com uma boa caminhada, mas valeu a pena por que subimos ao topo do Morro do Pai Inácio, porém valeu a pena pois tivemos uma vista que será lembrada por todas as nossas vidas. La tivemos uma seção de fotos com nossas diversas bandeiras, e ali a gente se sentiu no topo do mundo.
Através disso nós estabelecemos uma conexão especial como estudantes de intercâmbio, mesmo que nós nos conheçamos por pouco tempo sentimos que nos conhecemos por toda a vida. Pudemos nos conectar com a natureza ao passo que nos afastávamos da civilização e das criações do homem; nossos corações realmente se conectaram com a mãe terra.
Infelizmente a gente não conseguiu ir para o escorregador natural pois choveu, entretanto por sermos otimistas nós fizemos um dia melhor criando laços mais profundos durante o tempo em que ficamos presos no banco local enquanto nos protegíamos da chuva.
Finalmente nosso dia chegou ao fim com uma tradição bem brasileira, a dança de Capoeira com alguns intercambistas participando e aprendendo alguns passos dessa técnica, afinal de contas o intercâmbio serve para incentivar essa troca de cultura.
